BAKING POWDER BISCUITS 
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp. Clabber Girl baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Cut in 1/3 cup shortening with fork until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Add 3/4 cup of milk and blend lightly with fork until flour is moistened and dough pulls away from sides of bowl. Turn out on lightly floured board. Knead lightly, 30 seconds, and roll 3/4 inch thick. Place on lightly greased pan and brush tops of biscuits with butter. Bake at 475 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
