SAND TARTS 
1/4 lb. butter
3 tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 c. pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream softened butter with flour and sugar. Add nuts and vanilla. Roll in small balls and make an indentation in center. Cook at approximately 300 degrees until browned. Add jelly and pecan in center and return to oven until jelly melts. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
