2 1/2 c. unsifted flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 c. butter, softened 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar 3/4 c. light or dark corn syrup 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. pecans 1/4 chocolate Easter rabbit (chunk size) In a large bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add flour, baking soda and sugar. Slowly beat in corn syrup, then add eggs and vanilla. Beat until mixture is well blended. Stir in pecans and half the chocolate pieces. Spread evenly in ungreased square pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate on top. Bake in oven 350 degrees approximately 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on rack. Cut into squares. Should yield 2 dozen. |
