SUGAR COOKIES 
1 lb. (2 c.) margarine
1 c. brown sugar, packed
2 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream margarine and brown sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla, flour and salt. Mix well. Form into rolls, 1 1/2-inches in diameter. Slice at 1/2-inch intervals. Roll in granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten. Bake at 375°F for 12 minutes.
