BAKED BEANS | |
1 med. onion, chopped 1 med. green pepper, diced 1/2 lb. bacon and 1/2 lb. bulk sausage or 1 b. bacon 1 1/2 c. catsup 1/2 c. brown sugar 2-3 tbsp. prepared mustard 2-3 tbsp. Worcestershire 1/4 c. molasses 1 lg. can pork and beans 1 can lima or butter beans 1 can kidney beans 1 can garbanzo beans Drain beans except pork and beans. Dice bacon and brown, sausage too if you use it. Drain and set aside. Remove all fat from pan except enough to saute onion and pepper. Saute until tender. Combine all ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees until the moistness you prefer. I always have to adjust the brown sugar before it is done, just to your taste. |
