GINGER PUFFS 
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
1 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder

Combine shortening and sugar. Add egg and dry ingredients and molasses. Roll dough to size of walnut. Roll in sugar. Bake on cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Yields 28 cookies.
