PEPPER STEAK 
1 1/2 lbs. round steak
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 c. shortening
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
1 3/4 c. water
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tbsp. beef gravy base
2 tsp. Worcestershire
2 big green peppers
Hot cooked rice or noodles

Cut round steak in strips. Dredge in flour, salt and pepper Brown in shortening. Drain tomatoes. Reserve liquid. Add liquid water, onion, garlic salt and gravy base to meat. Cover and simmer at least 1 1/2 hours. Add Worcestershire and green pepper cut into strips. Cover and simmer until peppers are done to your liking. Add drained tomatoes. Heat through. Serve over hot rice or noodles.
