MERINGUE COOKIES | |
2 egg whites 1/8 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar 3/4 c. sugar 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/4 c. slivered almonds 1 tsp. vanilla Beat egg whites, cream of tartar until foamy. Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff and glossy. Add vanilla, salt and chocolate chips and almonds. Mix well. Drop mixture by rounded teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet covered with brown paper. Bake at 300 degrees for 25 minutes. Store in airtight container if needed. 3 1/2 dozen. |
