3/4 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. uncooked oatmeal

Mix together butter, sugar, milk, egg and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in oatmeal. Roll out on floured board to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into heart shapes. Bake on greased cookie sheet 15 minutes at 375 degrees.

Decorate with pink powdered sugar frosting if desired. Approximately 3 dozen cookies.
