HAMBURG STEW 
2 tbsp. Crisco
2 lg. onions
1 tsp. oregano
1 1/2 tsp. salt
Potatoes
1 can green beans or peas
2 cans tomato sauce
1 can carrots
Water
1 lb. hamburg
1 tsp. garlic
1/8 tsp. salt

In fry pan, melt Crisco. Then add hamburg, onions, oregano, salt, garlic and cook until meat is done. Put into a stew pot and add beans or peas, tomato sauce and carrots and fill with water as you would a beef stew and cook until potatoes are done. Add dumplings, if desired.
