AUNT EVA'S EASY CAKE 
This is something like a sponge cake. I use it as a shortcake for strawberries and raspberries.

1/3 cup butter
2 eggs, broken in cup, then fill cup with milk
1 cup sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
pinch of salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 325°F.

Mix all ingredients together and beat the devil out of it.

Grease a 9x9-inch cake pan and dust with flour. Pour batter into pan.

Bake at 325°F for 1 hour.
