MARINATED VEGETABLE SALAD 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. white vinegar
2/3 c. water
1 1/4 c. salad oil
Salt to taste
1 med. head cabbage
3 cucumbers
2 green peppers
2 carrots
1 med. red onion

Mix marinade ingredients well. Cut cabbage into thin slices (thinner the better). Slice cucumbers and peppers into thin pieces. Cut carrots thin by using a potato peeler. Cut onion into thin slices. Mix all vegetables together in large glass or plastic bowl (not metal). Pour mixed marinade over vegetables and stir well. Cover and refrigerate for 3 (three) days stirring couple times per day. Must be made ahead.
