FLOATING ISLAND PUNCH 
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. water
6 oz. can frozen lemonade
3 (6 oz.) cans frozen orange juice
1 qt. ginger ale
1 qt. sparkling water
4 oz. bottle maraschino cherries and juice
1 orange, sliced thin
15 oz. pkg. frozen raspberries, thawed
1 pt. orange sherbet
Ice cubes

Heat sugar and water together until sugar is dissolved. Cool. Combine fruit juice, ginger ale, sparkling water, cherries and orange slices. Press thawed raspberries through a sieve to remove seeds and add. Add sugar syrup. Pour into punch bowl and add ice cubes. Drop in sherbet by spoonful. Serves 20 to 25. NOTE: If you can find bottled white grape juice, use it in place of sparkling water. It gives a delicious and unusual flavor.
