CONNIE HEIN'S PRETZEL SALAD 
1 (15 oz.) can pineapple
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cool Whip
1 stick butter (don't use low salt brands)
1 1/2 c. crushed pretzels
1 c. sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter. Mix together butter, pretzels, 1/2 cup of the sugar in pie plate and bake for 7 minutes. Mix together pineapple, cream cheese and 1/2 cup of the sugar. Fold in whipped topping and pretzels. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
