4 lb. green tomatoes 8 lb. ripe tomatoes 1 lb. green bell peppers 5-6 hot green peppers (more if desired) 5 lg. onions 1 head cabbage, chopped (optional) 3 c. red vinegar 3 c. sugar 3 tsp. mixed pickling spices 2 tbsp. canning salt as reg. salt Mix it all together; bring to boil. Place it in canning jars and seal. Or cool it and keep in freezer containers. Canning jars is best. This is great on top of cornbread and peas. |
