PEACH AND APPLE CONSERVE 
2 c. peaches, peeled and chopped
2 c. apples, unpeeled, and chopped
Juice of 2 lemons
3 c. granulated sugar

Use tart, unpeeled apples for the best results. Combine the peaches and apples in a large heavy kettle. Add the lemon juice and sugar. Cook slowly until the apples re transparent; this will take about 20 minutes. Pour into hot sterilized jars. Makes about 7 (6 ounce) glasses.
