Yellow Cake Mix: Add 6 ounce package chocolate chips or add 3/4 cup peanut butter.

Lemon Cake Mix or Chocolate Cake Mix: Add 1/2 cup nuts.

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat eggs, vanilla, shortening and 1/2 the cake mix (dry) until light and fluffy. Stir in remaining cake mix and any other additions. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes. Cookies will be soft in the centers when done. Makes about 5 dozen.
