SOUR CREAM NOODLE BAKE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. egg noodles, cooked
1 c. cottage cheese
1 c. sour cream
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
1 onion, sliced
1 tsp. salt
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 tbsp. sugar
1 c. grated Cheddar or Mozzarella cheese

Brown beef with garlic. Add tomato sauce, seasonings and sugar. Blend sour cream, cream cheese and cottage cheese. Add onions and green peppers. Toss noodles into cheese mixture.

In a greased 9x13 inch pan, pat half of noodle mixture, half of beef and tomato sauce mixture. Repeat. Top with grated cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 8.

I also have layered this in the crock pot and cooked on low for 4 hours with great results (longer if it has been refrigerated).
