ENGLISH MUFFIN BREAD 
2 pkg. yeast
5-6 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 c. milk
1/2 c. water
Cornmeal

Combine 3 cups flour and other dry ingredients. Heat milk and water (not over 110 degrees) until warm. Add to dry ingredients. Beat well for 3 minutes. Stir in enough flour to make stiff batter. Spoon into two 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch pans that have been greased and sprinkle with cornmeal. Cover and let rise 45 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from pans immediately. This bread freezes well.
