DANISH APPLE BARS 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 egg yolk with enough milk to make 2/3 c. liquid
1 c. Corn Flakes
8 c. sliced apples
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg white

Cut in salt and shortening into flour to make pastry. Add egg and milk mixture and mix. Divide dough in half and roll out to fit 10x15 inch jelly roll pan. Sprinkle Corn Flakes over pastry. Layer apples on top of Corn Flakes. Sprinkle cinnamon/sugar mixture over apples. Roll out other half of dough and place on top. Make slits in top layer. Beat egg white until frothy and brush on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
