HOMESTYLE VEGETABLE BEEF SOUP 
1 lb. ground beef
6-8 med. potatoes, peeled & cut into bite size pieces
1 (16 oz.) can whole kernel corn
1 (16 oz.) can sweet peas
1 (16 oz.) can string beans
1 (16 oz.) can lima beans
1 (8 oz.) can carrots
3-4 c. water
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce

1. In a medium skillet, brown beef until done, drain excess grease and set meat aside.

2. In a large saucepan, combine potatoes and next 6 ingredients, bring to a boil. Add ground beef and tomato sauce and let simmer 30 to 45 minutes.

NOTE: Frozen vegetables may be substituted for canned vegetables. If frozen vegetables are used, simmer soup for 1 hour until vegetables are thawed and soup is heated through. 6 to 8 servings.
