HOLIDAY FRUIT AND NUT CAKE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. carrot, spice or applesauce flavored cake mix
1 stick butter, softened
1 (15 oz.) can pumpkin, applesauce or pineapple, crushed
3 eggs
1/2 c. pecans or walnut pieces
1/4 c. raisins
1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix all ingredients together in large bowl. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 25-35 minutes. Test with toothpick for doneness. Cake is very moist.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
1/4-1/2 c. milk
1 box confectioners' sugar

Melt butter in saucepan. Let butter brown, then gradually add sugar and milk, until desired spreading consistency. Spread over cake.
