SOFT GINGER CREAMS | |
2 c. + 2 tbsp. sifted all-purpose flour, 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tsp. ground ginger 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon 3/4 c. butter 1 c. packed light brown sugar 3 tbsp. light molasses 1 egg 1/2 c. dairy sour cream Sift the flour, baking soda and salt and spices together. Set aside. Cream butter until softened. Add brown sugar gradually, beating until fluffy. Blend in molasses. Add the egg and beat thoroughly. Alternately add dry ingredients in thirds and sour cream in halves, beating until blended after each addition. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2" apart on lightly greased pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool and frost with orange frosting, confectioners' sugar or any flavor. Hot water for glaze. |
