BROWN SUGAR COOKIES 
4 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
4 eggs
1/4 c. milk
1 heaping tsp. cream of tartar
7 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. vanilla

Mix sugar, butter, eggs and milk. Mix flour, soda and cream of tartar and add to first mixture. Stir all together, then add vanilla and mix well. Drop by spoonful on cookie sheet and bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees. When cool spread with Brown Sugar frosting.

FROSTING:

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. milk

Boil 3 minutes. Let cool a little. Mix in about 2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar.
