1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. shortening
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
Salt

Roll into small balls and flatten on cookie sheet with glass dipped in sugar. Bake in oven at 350 degrees 8 to 10 minutes.
