FRESH APPLE CAKE 
1/2 c. oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. chopped fresh apples

SYRUP TO POUR OVER THE CAKE:

1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar

Mix oil, sugar and eggs. Then add the dry ingredients, then vanilla. Add apples. Put in prepared bundt pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees. Bring to boil and cook 1 minute the water, sugar and vanilla. Then pour over cake. Let set 3 minutes and turn cake out.
