MARY JANE'S BROCCOLI SALAD 
2 heads broccoli
1 lb. bacon, crumbled
1/2 c. raisins
1 c. Miracle Whip
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. tarragon vinegar

Wash and break broccoli into bits. "Fry" 1 pound of bacon - (using your microwave is safer than pan cooking as it doesn't create carcinogens). (Also, if you use newspaper, it absorbs the grease). (You CAN shred broccoli like Ukrop's deli if you like).

Mix broccoli, crumbled bacon, raisins, Miracle Whip (not mayonnaise!), sugar and vinegar. Let it marinate at LEAST an hour, but it's much better the next day. Last several days and great to do ahead for company.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
