1 tbsp. butter 1 1/2 lbs. ground meat 1 clove garlic, minced 2 cans tomato sauce (1 lg. and 1 sm. can) 1 tsp. sugar Salt and pepper to taste 1 (6-8 oz.) pkg. vermicelli spaghetti 1/2 pt. sour cream 3 oz. cream cheese, softened Green onions, chopped 1/4 - 1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese Melt butter, brown meat and garlic. Drain. Add sauce, sugar, salt and pepper. Simmer 20 minutes. Cook vermicelli by package instructions. Combine sour cream, cream cheese and green onions. Add above mixture to hot, drained vermicelli. Mix well. In rectangular baking dish alternate layers of meat sauce and vermicelli, ending with the meat sauce. Top with grated cheese. Bake 350 degrees until hot and bubbly. |
