RICE KRISPIE COOKIES 
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. oil
1 c. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
3 1/2 c. flour
1 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. coconut
1 c. walnuts

Mix first 6 ingredients well. Add flour with salt, soda and cream of tartar to the first mixture. Beat together. Add last 4 ingredients. Chill for 1 hour. Shape into ball and press down with fork on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Watch closely so they do not burn. cool and store in airtight tin.
