QUICK BUCKWHEAT CAKES | |
2 c. buckwheat flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda About 2 1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk Put flour in bowl, add salt, baking powder, and soda. Mix well then stir in sour milk or buttermilk slowly until the desired consistency is reached. Bake on a hot griddle until they are to be turned. Turn and slow the heat a little and bake. Don't touch the cakes after turning as that makes them heavy. |
