TANDOORI CHICKEN, AMERICAN STYLE | |
3 lbs. boned chicken pieces 1/4 c. onion, chopped 3 cloves garlic, chopped 1 tbsp. oil 1 c. plain yogurt 1 tbsp. lemon juice 3 tbsp. curry powder Blend all ingredients, except chicken in casserole dish. Mixture should become a nice yellow color. Pierce chicken pieces all over with a fork. Place pieces in casserole dish, covering with yogurt mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Grill or broil chicken until it is brown, about 15 minutes per side. Although the recipe calls for 3 tablespoons of curry powder, the chicken has a mild flavor. If you like "hot" food, you may want to add more curry powder. |
