PUNCH BOWL CAKE 
1 box yellow cake mix
1 to 2 cans cherry pie filling
1 c. chopped nuts
1 box instant vanilla pudding mix
1 carton cool whip, thawed
1 c. coconut
maraschino cherries, optional

Bake cake according to directions, allow to cool. Mix nuts with instant pudding mix that has been made according to directions.

Crumble half of cake in punch bowl and layer with half cherry pie filling, half of pudding mixture, half of cool whip. Repeat same layering again. Refrigerate overnight. Top with coconut and maraschino cherries.

Note: Recipe requires a punch bowl or large type container to hold contents.
