BUTTERNUT CAKE 
1 c. Crisco
1 c. buttermilk
3 c. cake flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 cap vanilla vanilla
1 cap lemon flavoring
3 caps butternut flavoring
2 c. sugar
4 eggs

Mix Crisco and sugar together. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix thoroughly. Sift together flour, soda and baking powder. Alternate flour mix with buttermilk and mix well. Add vanilla, lemon and butternut flavorings. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes. Makes 4 layers.
