APPLE DUMPLING 
6 med. apples, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. sugar
1-2 tbsp. butter
Prepared pie dough

SYRUP:

1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. corn syrup
2 tbsp. butter

Mix syrup in saucepan and boil for 3 minutes. Pour hot syrup around chilled dumpling. Chilled dumpling. Cut pie dough into 8 pieces. Fill with apple mixture. Fold and secure with toothpick, if necessary. Bake in preheated oven at 500 degrees for 5-7 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
