JANE'S SPECIAL RAISIN CASSEROLE
BREAD
 
1 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. warm water
1 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
4 1/2 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in warm water and set aside. Scald milk and stir in sugar, salt and butter. Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast mixture, egg and 3 cups of flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in remaining flour. Cover and let raise about 1 hour. Stir it down and mix in raisins. Turn into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 - 50 minutes. Turn out and cool.
