PEAR RELISH 
1 peck of pears
5 med. onions
3 red bell peppers
3 green bell peppers
2 lb. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. allspice, ground
1 tsp. turmeric
5 c. white vinegar
1 tbsp. salt

Peel and core pears. Put in salt water while preparing. Cut onions in quarters, core and cut bell peppers. Grind pears, onions and bell peppers. I use a meat grinder. If mixture is real watery, pour a small amount off. Mix all the ingredients in a large container and boil 30 minutes. Jar and seal. Good with green vegetables and meat.
