HOT FUDGE CAKE
Your favorite brownies or chocolate cake, prepared
Vanilla ice cream
Prepared whip cream
Cherries (optional)

HOT FUDGE:

1 lb. box powdered sugar
1/2 c. powdered cocoa
1/4 c. milk
1 stick (1/2 c.) butter
1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
1 tbsp. vanilla extract

In a glass bowl, blend sugar and cocoa; add milk and butter. Do not mix. Microwave on high power 2 minutes. Remove from oven and stir in vanilla and nuts. Stir or beat with electric mixer until well blended. Cut brownies or cake into 2 x 2 inch squares; split and place in dish. On 1 half, add a scoop of ice cream and top with 2 tablespoons or more of hot fudge. Place the other half over fudge. Add another scoop of ice cream, 2 more tablespoons of fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry. Store any unused fudge in refrigerator and reheat as needed.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
