SWEDISH MEATBALLS 
3/4 lb. ground beef
1/4 lb. ground pork
1 1/2 c. bread crumbs
3/4 c. milk
1 clove garlic, minced
1 egg
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 stick butter, melted
2 tbsp. flour
2 c. beef consomme
1 bay leaf, crumbled
1 c. mushrooms

Combine first 6 ingredients, nutmeg, salt and pepper in bowl; mix well. Shape into balls. Brown in butter in skillet; remove. Blend flour into pan drippings. Add consomme, bay leaf and mushrooms. Mix well. Pour over meatballs in baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
