2 c. Herman
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
2/3 c. oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. raisins or dates
1/2 c. nuts
Sliced apples (optional)

On day 10, you will have 4 cups of Herman. Use 2 cups for baking, put one cup in refrigerator and give 1 cup to a friend. Let the other 2 cups stand at room temperature for a few hours before baking. Mix 2 cups Herman, eggs, and oil. Add dry ingredients, raisins and nuts, mixing well. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle or spread with topping. Bake 40-50 minutes at 350 degrees.

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 stick butter, melted
