SPICED GINGER BALLS 
1 1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. ginger

Cream shortening and sugar; add molasses and egg. Add sifted dry ingredients; mix well. Roll dough in small balls and roll in granulated sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
