DANNY'S DELIGHTFUL CARAMEL FUDGE
BALLS
 
1 c. walnuts
1/4 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar (packed)
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. dairy sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Chop 1/2 cup of walnuts to medium size pieces. Chop remaining nuts into fine pieces for coating fudge balls. Melt butter, add sugars, salt and sour cream. Cook over low heat, stir until sugars dissolve, boil slowly 5 minutes.

Uncover, cook rapidly without stirring to 236 degrees F. (soft ball stage). Remove from heat; cool to lukewarm. Add vanilla, beat until mixture is creamy and begins to hold its shape. Stir in medium nut pieces.
