EMMA'S BROWNIE CAKE | |
1 c. butter 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 2 c. sugar 4 eggs 2 c. sifted flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. chopped walnuts (optional) 2 sq. Baker's chocolate (melted) 1 level tsp. baking powder Cream butter, vanilla and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour and salt, baking powder, mixing until well blended. Add nuts. Divide batter into half. Add melted, cool chocolate to one part. Alternate white and chocolate dough into a 9 x 13 inch pan to give marble effect (pan should be buttered). Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Frosting: 1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar 3 tbsp. butter 3 tbsp. cocoa or 2 sq. chocolate, melted 1 tsp. vanilla 3 tbsp. boiling water Mix well. |
