ORIENTAL GREEN BEANS | |
1/4 c. water 1 tsp. cornstarch 2 tbsp. soy sauce 2 tsp. distilled white vinegar 1 1/2 tsp. black bean sauce 1 tsp. oriental sesame oil 1 tsp. grated, pared fresh ginger 1 clove garlic, chopped 1/4 tsp. liquid red pepper seasoning 1 lb. ground beans, trimmed & cut in half 1/2 sweet red or yellow pepper, thinly sliced 1. Combine water and cornstarch in microwave-safe 2 quart casserole. Add soy, vinegar, bean sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic and red pepper seasoning. 2. Microwave at 100% power for 3 minutes, stirring after 1 1/2 minutes. Add beans and pepper. Cover with microwave-safe plastic wrap, vent at one corner. 3. Microwave at 100% power for 12 minutes or until beans are crisp tender; stir after 6 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes. Serve hot. Makes 4 servings. 57 calories per serving. 1 gram of fat. 0 mg cholesterol. |
