HAWAIIAN HAMBURGERS | |
2/3 c. canned milk 1 1/2 lb. ground beef 1/2 c. chopped onion 2/3 c. cracker crumbs 1 tsp. salt 13 1/2 oz. can chunk pineapple, saving juice 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 c. vinegar 1/4 c. brown sugar 2 tbsp. soy sauce 1 c. chopped green peppers Mix together the first 5 ingredients and form into patties. Brown them in a skillet until done. Drain pineapple and add water to juice to make 1 cup. Combine juice, cornstarch, vinegar, brown sugar and soy sauce in a saucepan and heat until thick and clear. Add pineapple and pepper and simmer for 15 minutes on low heat. Pour sauce over patties and serve. |
