THE BEST BROWNIES 
1 c. butter
4 sq. unsweetened chocolate
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. chopped nuts (walnuts)

Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9x12 pan.

Melt butter and chocolate in a saucepan over low heat. Stir frequently until melted. Remove from heat, stir in sugar and let cool slightly. Beat in eggs one at a time. Beat well after each addition. Stir in flour, salt and vanilla. Stir in nuts and spread in pan. Bake 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares. Best if made early in day or a day ahead of time.
