ANGEL DREAM DESSERT 
Need about 1/2 ounce baked angel food cake (that is from standard size batter cake). Also, a white cake can be used if preferred.

3 to 4 c. of fresh strawberries (or frozen berries, thawed) sweetened.
Reserve 3 or 4 berries for garnish.

Mix together the following and cook over medium to low heat until thick, stirring constantly.

1 (3 oz.) box strawberry Jello
2 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. corn starch

Remove from heat. Cool 5 minutes, then add:

3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Stir. Cover and let cool thoroughly, stirring a couple times more.

Tear baked cake into medium to small chunks and arrange in a 9 x 13 dish (or anything of comparable size). Arrange sweetened strawberries between, over, etc. chunks of cake. Pour Jello mixture over berries and cake. Chill thoroughly. Top with Dream Whip, Cool Whip or your favorite whipped topping. Garnish with strawberries rolled in sugar. Keep refrigerated.
