CREAMY AU GRATIN POTATOES 
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cubed
1 (12 oz.) pkg. hash browns (may substitute boiled potatoes)
1 c. condensed cream of mushroom soup
3/4 to 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Cook onion over medium heat. Stir in soup and cream cheese cubes. Stir until smooth and hot. In a casserole, alternate potatoes and hot cream sauce. Cover and bake 45 minutes at 400 degrees. Remove from oven and sprinkle with cheese.
