TACO PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 pkg. taco mix
1 pkg. tortillas
1 - 1 1/2 c. sour cream (optional)
1/2 - 1 c. chopped onion
1/2 - 1 c. chopped bell pepper
1-2 c. shredded cheddar cheese

SEASONINGS:

1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Pinches of chili powder
Pinches of sugar

Season ground beef, onions and bell peppers. Cook and stir them until lightly browned; drain. Stir in package of taco mix and 1/8 to 1/3 cup water. Allow to simmer briefly.

Use a glass pan or pie plate; place tortillas sufficient to cover the bottom of pan; top with a layer of meat, onions and bell peppers. Then cover with a layer of the shredded cheese. Make 2 to 3 layers of each depending upon the size of the cooking dish. You may top the final layer with peaks of sour cream if desired.

Bake in a preheated moderate oven at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. See microwave chart for a similar recipe time and temperature. Serving suggestion: Serve with lettuce and tomato wedges; sour cream and lemonade.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
