5 lbs. meaty shortribs 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. oil 2 lg. onions 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 bottle bar-b-que sauce 4 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce Dredge ribs in flour seasoned with salt and pepper. Brown on all sides in hot oil and butter. Place in large covered roaster. Sprinkle sliced onions over the ribs. Sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce. Combine bar-b-que sauce and brown sugar and pour over shortribs. Bake in 300 degree oven for 3 hours or until tender. Thicken sauce with a little flour and serve on the side. Yield: 5 servings. |
