2 tbsp. brown sugar 1 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 tsp. salt 1 (9 oz.) can (1 c.) pineapple tidbits 1 tbsp. butter 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 can (2 c.) sliced beets, drained Combine brown sugar, salt, and cornstarch in saucepan. Stir in pineapple with juice. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and bubbles. Add butter and lemon juice and beets. Heat through about 5 minutes. Recipe may be doubled or tripled for a crowd. Yield: 4 servings per recipe. |
